Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. “Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

We live in a world that's very dark and tells us we're not going to make it. This world was without form and void before we came into it. But if we know that God orchestrated every plan that was ever made to go out for HIS glory, we know that it is our duty to be light in a dark world. Producing light means spending energy. And being in darkness, darkness can only take energy and reuse a portion of it. Darkness only fabricates in uses the truth for its own selfish goals. But real light stands up in the Darkness against it and is able to carry the heavy burdens that darkness throws at it. If we can walk with lights we have a major advantage over this world knowing that Jesus is providing The Way out.
In survival there are key decisions that you have to make, hard decisions. Sometimes those decisions involve heavy consequences. But remember no matter what happens that you do your best. This world is not going to treat you nicely and people will manipulate you and use you. However, if you already know, you can still come out of any situation because of what God has put you through. Through what Jesus Christ did for us, are we willing to pick up our own cross? We are called to endure to The End. What does your end look like?
